The assessed value of a property is the Broward County Property Appraiser’s estimation of the market value of that property minus any assessment limitations.  This value is used to determine the taxes levied up on the property, and lenders often consider these values when gauging the financial health and potential of new locations for commercial properties. Properties with a higher assessed value can provide insights into the competitive position of a commercial property market, therefore providing an advantage to relatively similar properties’ perceived value and pricing.  The total assessed valuation for commercial properties is an indication of the City’s progress towards building a diverse and attractive economy.
