The City supports affordable housing by providing services to the most vulnerable in our communities through partnerships with nonprofits and other agencies such as Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA), U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and Habitat for Humanity. With the support of multiple housing related programs, it also provide critical support to prevent individuals from experiencing homelessness, critical to our community’s well-being.  

The benefits of these programs provide multiple types of assistance including the transition from foster care to independent living, short-term rental payments, fair housing education and training, first-time homebuyers purchase assistance, and housing rehabilitation or replacement to address unsafe substandard housing.
